What Star Health could learn from Monzo

Monzo crossed 14 million customers in the least-loved category in consumer finance, and people genuinely like it. Written as a colleague's notes rather than a critic's, this teardown extracts four transferable trust mechanics: put friction on the harmful action instead of the helpful one, write like a human rather than a legal department, design deliberately for the moment of stress, and show the customer the number you would rather hide. Each is mapped onto health insurance, where trust is the entire product and the industry keeps under-delivering it.
